CORVETTE
america's sports car

For over 50 years, the Chevrolet Corvette has been the leading—and often the only—American sports car. Even challengers as strong as the Dodge Viper and the Ford-engined Shelby Cobras have failed to dislodge the fiberglass-bodied two-seater from its pre-eminent position in the U.S. marketplace.

This program traces the full story of the marque and features every significant Corvette model—both on road and track—to show why it has reigned for more than fifty years as "America's Sportscar".

The program tours the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky; features Corvettes in action on race tracks and at over 230mph on the open desert roads of Nevada; and gains access to the Chevrolet film library to find out why the always-charismatic 'Vette has become a true "American automotive icon".
